A House for Everyone
We are thrilled to introduce a new collaborative project between Procurement Europe and AnimalCare Moldova, dedicated to making a tangible difference in the lives of stray animals in Chisinau. Through this partnership, we aim to gather donations and resources to construct 100 safe and comfortable houses for stray dogs and cats across the city. This initiative is driven by a shared commitment to improving animal welfare, providing much-needed shelter, and creating a more compassionate environment for the countless animals that currently live on the streets. By working together, we hope to inspire generosity and compassion, helping to ensure that every stray animal in Chisinau has a place to call home.

Thank you all for your support towards our project “A house for everyone”. Considering the success we had, together with Procurement Europe, decided to take it to the next step and build even more houses for more stray dogs in Chisinau and around Chisinau.
Our goal is 100 new dog houses!

This initiative aims to build and install 100 doghouses in different parks and areas of Chisinau and near Chisinau, where many homeless dogs struggle to survive the harsh weather conditions and lack of shelter.
As you may know, Moldova has a serious problem with stray dogs, with an estimated over 20,000 dogs living on the streets of the capital city alone. Until the fully implementation in 2020, there was no animal welfare legislation in place, and many dogs were taken to a public shelter where they faced a cruel death. Thanks to the efforts of volunteers and activists, the situation has improved significantly, with the support of a spay and neuter program and a ban on killing healthy stray dogs. However, there is still a long way to go to ensure that every dog has a chance to live a happy and healthy life.
That’s why we decided to launch “A house for everyone”, a project that will provide safe and comfortable shelters for the dogs that have no home. Our goal is to build and install 20 dog houses for the first phase of the project at Park Riscani, where there are around 30 dogs in need of shelter. Each house can accommodate up to two dogs, and is made of durable and insulated materials, with a roof, a door, and a raised floor. We also wanted them to have a nice design that would blend in with the natural environment of the park. One house costs us 3500 MDL, which is around 180 EUR.
So far, we have managed to build and install two houses, thanks to the generous donations of some of our supporters and the hard work of our volunteers. The process was not easy, as we had to look for companies or people who would build the houses according to our requirements, but we did it!
We are very proud of this achievement, but we need your help to continue this project and reach our goal of 100 houses. We still need to raise funds for the remaining 18 houses for the first phase, and for the next phases that will cover other parks and areas with stray dogs. Every donation, no matter how small, will make a difference for these dogs that deserve a warm and cozy place to sleep and rest.
